Reid Tateoka has been litigating, enforcing, collecting, and defending on behalf of creditors, debtors, and individuals, protecting their rights for over 35 years. His Utah Supreme Court case of Reid v. Mutual of Omaha continues to be the landmark case allowing landlords to collect future rents. He has lectured numerous times to attorneys and businesses on successful collection strategies, including bankruptcy litigation. Reid has been called as an expert in the field of construction law. He has received numerous awards for his trial work, landlord-tenant collection, divorce and pro bono work. Reid is one of the 2017 Legal Elite. He is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Lawyers of Utah. He currently serves on various boards of directors for nonprofit organizations. He is admitted to practice in all Utah State Courts, Utah Federal District Courts, and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
